Guest Speaker on "Women In Asia" at Ikebana Flower
 

Nashua, NH - Sheridan Prasso, a writer who has covered Asia for more than 15 years will speak about "Women in Asia." at Ikebana Flower. The free presentation, organized through the Northeast Cultural Coop Organization, will be held on Monday, February 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ikebana Flower store on 95 West Pearl Street.

Prasso spent eight years with Business Week, as its New York-based Asia editor, as a senior news editor, and as a contributing editor. She served as Cambodia Bureau Chief for Agence France-Presse (AFP) and also worked for the Bureau in Hong Kong and Paris and as a United Nations Correspondent. . Her articles have appeared in The New Yorker, The New Republic, The New York Times, Fortune, and Business Week, among others.

She is the recipient of a Human Rights Press Award for coverage of Cambodian land mine victims, and shared in six awards for team coverage of the Asian financial crisis and its aftermath. Prasso recently published a book, The Asian Mystique: Dragon Ladies, Geisha Girls and Our Fantasies of the Exotic Orient (Public Affairs Press).
