Bess lectures on basketry and bamboo around the world and is an active member of the American Bamboo Society. She is the author of a book titled “Bamboo in Japan” that will be available for sale. Her studio is located in Amherst, Massachusetts.
The cost for the whole-day workshop is $100 and includes all the materials to be used. The participants will make 4 small Japanese baskets (like the one shown in the courtesy photo).
